Don't Forget Health

Letter to the Editors

Jim Wallis’ “How to Choose a President” (November 2012) was right on in several important respects. However, when he says the administration was content to “work within a broken system to get a few things done” (emphasis added), he seems to have ignored the Affordable Care Act. How can that not be considered a significant, politically risky accomplishment? The following pages on “Why Voting Matters” also omit any reference to ensuring quality, affordable health care for poor and other vulnerable people.
