Prison Labor

I WAS GLAD to see your excellent issue on the church and labor ("Good Works," September-October 1998). One area not included, however, was the growing use of cheap prison labor by corporations—the Prison Industrial Complex. Maybe you are already planning to do an issue on prisons and will highlight this issue then. If not, think about it. Unfortunately, slavery in America really hasn't been eliminated. It has just sneakily changed form. Keep up the good work.
