Julian Tiburcio is a freelance journalist from New York City, where he’s currently based and has written for local news publications. A lifelong writer, he enjoys doing his best to draw connections and simplify information for readers, no matter the topic. He is a graduate of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, where he covered health and climate and found an interest in fact-checking, research and editing. During his time there, he helped produce a team package about NYC’s insurmountable trash problem and interned at Prison Journalism Project, where he edited reporting and essays from incarcerated writers.
In his free time, Julian loves watching a good video essay. He’s recently taken a liking to British dramas too.
